Improving sign language communication within blended families
"So we, though many, are one body in Christ," Romans 5:12
ASL Day Camp
Blended Bridges is an annual American Sign Language Day Camp for families with Deaf/HOH children. This camp promotes sign language communication within families through music, games, art, and other fun activities. Each family will work with an ASL professional, as well as socialize with Deaf community members and other blended families, during camp. This is a great opportunity for family members to ask questions and share experiences with each other. There are limited spots available, so register today! We are a Christian-based ministry and believe a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the number-one priority for every individual.

We had an awesome Blended Bridges ASL Camp this past July! Five large families, each with a Deaf child, participated this year. One precious family of eight traveled all the way from Virginia to improve their signing skills for their Deaf son. We used games, music, art and other fun activities to learn sign language. Words cannot describe the joy we felt witnessing families growing closer together by learning an equally accessible language.
One mother shared this message after they arrived home from camp, "We went home super motivated to continue learning sign language and look forward to coming back next year!" Another family sent this message, "We loved being able to communicate with members of the Deaf Community and seeing ASL all around us!"
Memories were made and skills learned during the program that will stick with these families all of their lives. We could not have achieved our goals without the love and support of our sponsors, tutors, organizers, and all of our prayer warriors. A special thanks goes to Texas Roadhouse, Goldsboro NC, (for donating food), Sunrise Kiwanis, Goldsboro NC, (for funding our Bridges shirts), and all of our faithful partners who contribute each year. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
